I finished my Miz Mozelle dress that is currently taking the blog world by storm with a few gorgeous bird print versions really taking my eye. (here and here in particular).
So when I saw this navy and cream bird print crepe at Spotlight I had to get it for this pattern.
Struggling to find pc time to do a real post (school holidays! No time not being mobbed by kids and night time is precious sewing time).
I have lots of info to share on the making of this dress in a woven silky crepe fabric but meanwhile here are a couple of pics of the finished dress. I had to make a couple of fitting adjustments and sewing slippery crepe for the first time was a challenge.
Love it. It's so easy to wear.

Vey cute dress and love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon! It's lovely to wear only I didn't adjust quite enough for the small bust so it drops down a little too much at the the front. Next time I'll do a SBA properly for it.
DeleteThis looks so so so great! :) Have you thought of accenting with a bright belt? Such a super cute dress, love it on you.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't but that's a great idea! Will have to get me some belts. Thanks so much for your comment. Means a lot to get feedback from fellow sewers. :-)
ReplyDeletethis dress is so cute!! Another pattern I must buy!
ReplyDeleteLove it. It looks like one of those super practical, comfy sort of dresses that still manages to look really cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric with this style of dress (have to pop back in to Spotlight and check out this fabric). Off to have a peek around your blog at your other sewing projects...J
